Linköping

Countryside, culture, shopping and entertainment; the municipality of Linköping offers the visitor and inhabitant alike, beauty, excitement and other pleasant experiences. Here, there is a well preserved town centre with many shops, cafés, restaurants and places of entertainment.

In Linköping, there are oases in the beautiful parks and children’s playgrounds, areas for country walks easily accessible, adventure and swimming pools. The Cathedral, Linköping’s Castle, the Diocesan and Regional Library and the County Museum of Östergötland lie along the cultural thoroughfare.

Why not visit the world famous Old Linköping with the Valla Recreation Area, or take a trip to the Air Force Museum. There are a number of beautiful castles on the outskirts of the town, Ekenäs Castle e.g. which arranges an annual tournament, could be mentioned.Trips down Göta Canal, which runs out into Lake Roxen, or down Kinda Canal to Kinda Lakes with their old locks, are excursions in beautiful surroundings.
